PGL head Silviu Stroie has shared the company's ambitious plans for 2027–2028. According to the CEO, the tournament operator is ready for full-scale competition with the biggest players in the CS2 industry.
In a post on X (Twitter), Stroie emphasized that the upcoming cycle will be the most expensive in the company's history: at least 12 championships are planned over two years, with a total budget exceeding $22 million.
"We are now competing on equal footing with any CS2 events. I am confident that teams, players, and fans will appreciate our offer," stated Silviu Stroie.
How the budget will be distributed ($11 million annually):
- $6 million - Prize pool for competitive achievements.
- $2.2 million - Participation bonuses for teams based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
- $2.8 million - Payments to clubs based on media performance and viewership.
